克拉克史川德的《由一顆樺樹的種子開始》(陳蒼多譯,1998,臺灣三雨出版社),是一部可以從年頭念到年尾,一年復始又繼續念的書。在這部談俳句詩的散文集裏,史川德引述班妮迪妲修女的一首作品(71頁):

《第三波》作者艾文托佛勒(Alvin Toffler)在出版了新書《革命性財富》(Revolutionary Wealth,2006)後,接受臺灣《天下雜誌》(16.8.2006,第352期,52頁)訪談時這麼表示:
“農業時代人們沒有職業(Jobs),但他們工作。職業存在,始於工業時代的分工。我們踏進資訊社會,這種形態一定會改。未來更多人會工作,但職業會減少。未來需要知識統合,因此每個人會暫時擁有工作,或某種專業技能,一個團隊集合起來,完成某項成果後,團隊成員解散,轉往另一個團隊,施展另一種專業技能。
