蔣勳《品味四講》什麽是美？
美的定義是什麽？美的範圍是什麽？
我們可以從哲學的角度去談論美的定義，也可以從藝術史切入來介紹古代埃及產生了哪些優美的藝術品，或者古代印度、中國有多美好的雕像或書法作品。如果現在不是從哲學切入，也不從藝術史切入，我想可以從一個非常好的角度，就是從“生活”切入。我特別將“生活”兩個字放在“美學”前面，是希望美學不要太理論，不只是在大學裏的一堂課，不只是一些學者、專家拿來做研究的題目，而希望美學，最後能真實體現在我們的日常生活裏。
我常常有這樣的感覺：現在社會已經相當富有了，各式各樣的藝術活動非常頻繁。1970年代以後可以在臺灣看到很多表演活動，甚至包括了國外最頂尖的團體。
