葉靈鳳·沙追
沙錐，也可寫作沙追，中國古名鷸，也就是古寓言「鷸蚌相爭」的對手之一。這是香港著名的獵禽，今日我們在餐館菜牌上所常見到的「燒肥沙追」，就是這東西。
本地所出產的沙錐共有四種，最常見的是普通叫作金錢錐的一種。它本是候鳥，從八月下半月開始，直到十二月初，它們開始在新界一帶出現，聚集的地點是水田和海邊的沙田。從八月到九月間，粉嶺和上水一帶最多，從十月到十二月的下半季，他們則喜歡聚到屏山、錦田一帶。
春天偶然也見到沙錐，那是它們從南方飛回北方路過此地的，不過為數很少，不似秋季冬季那樣多。
沙錐雖是候鳥，但是已經有可靠的資料證實，它們也有在香港營巢孵卵的。…
