高極登：當中文遇上英文
這個世界好像有點亂了套，華人和洋人交往，前者報上洋名，後者報上漢名。
在一次在國外，我和新加坡同業用英語交談，和洋人用華語交談，洋人有個秘書，是個ABC（美國華僑），她聽不懂，在一旁抗議，私底下還用些結結 巴巴的廣東話對我說，今後要把中文學好，因為中港臺新移民太多，祖國有錢 了，美國老華社掀起了中文熱。
歷史因素使然，英文借殖民運動、美國現代化、好來塢影片和流行音樂， 加上近年更犀利的互聯網傳揚開來；要走向世界一定要學英文。…
