張中行·懷念熊十力
熊十力先生是我的老師，現在要談他，真真感到一言難盡。這一言難盡包括兩種意思：一是事情多，難於說盡；二是心情雜亂，難於說清楚。還是五十年代，他由北京移住上海。其後政協開會，他兩度到北京來，先一次住在崇文門新僑飯店，後一次住在西單民族飯店。這後一次，正是大家都苦於填不滿肚皮的時候，他留我在飯店飽餐一頓，所以至今記憶猶新。別後，我寫過問候的信，也聽到過一點點他的消息。大動亂來了，我在文鬥武鬥中浮沈三年，然後到朱元璋的龍興之地去接受改造。喘息之暇，也曾想到年過八旬的老人，——自然只能想想。放還之後，七十年代中期曾到南京及蘇杭等地漫遊，想到上海看看而終於沒有敢去，主要是怕登門拜謁而告知的是早已作古。再稍後，忘記聽誰說，確是作古了，時間大概是六十年代末期。想到民族飯店的最後一面，想到十幾年，我掙紮喘息而竟沒有寫三言兩語去問候，真是既悔恨又慚愧。…
