陳冠學《田園之秋》十月六日 （下）
出了牛滌，沿著小溪，在空田中走著，覺得格外地涼，那涼好像是月光撒下來的，正如日光撒下熱一般。隆冬時人們喜歡陽光，在這個時刻，誰都不會不喜歡月光了。
接近番麥田時，隱約聽見野鼠格鬥之聲。花狗先是停了腳，聳了耳朵聽，及聽得真切，回頭看了我一下，便逕向前奔入番麥田去了，一聲也沒有吠。只聽見田裏面一陣奔突之聲，不多時，花狗竟啣著一隻野鼠鑽了出來，真是出人意料之外。大概這隻野鼠原正在番麥株末梢上，一時下來得遲，纔遭遇了這厄運。
