元稹《鶯鶯傳》 （5）
過了一年多，崔鶯鶯嫁給別人，張生也娶了親。一次張生恰好經過崔鶯鶯的住所，就通過崔的丈夫轉告她，要求以表兄的身分相見。丈夫告訴了崔鶯鶯。可是崔鶯鶯始終沒出來。張生怨恨思念的誠意，明顯表現在臉上。鶯鶯知道後，暗地裡寫了一首詩：「自從消瘦減容光，萬轉千回懶下床。不為旁人羞不起，為郎憔悴卻羞郎。」最後也未見張生。後來又過了幾天，張生將要走了，崔鶯鶯又寫了一篇斷絕關係的詩：「棄置今何道，當時且自親。還將舊時意，憐取眼前人。」從此以後徹底斷絕音信。當時的人大多讚許張生是善於補過人。我常在朋友聚會時，談到這事，是為了讓那些明智的人不作這樣的事；而做這樣事的人不被迷惑。貞元年九月，朋友李公佐留宿在我們靖安里住宅裡，我談起了這件事。李公佐覺得這事非常出奇，連連稱道。於是我便作了《鶯鶯歌》來傳述它。崔氏小名叫鶯鶯，公佐就以此為篇名。…

張生把她的信給好朋友看，因此當時有很多人知道了這事。張生的好友楊巨源好寫詩填詞，他為這事作了一首《崔娘》絕句詩：「清潤潘郎玉不如，中庭蕙草雪銷初。風流才子多春思，腸斷蕭娘一紙書。」河南的元稹亦接著張生的〈會真詩〉又作三十首。詩寫道：…
