“我不知道，” 我輕聲地喊，“我根本不知道，既然沒有人來那就不會有人來了。我沒有傷害過別人，別人也沒有對不起我的。不過無人幫助我，罷了，一個也沒有。然而，情況並非如此——說一個也沒有那是天下沒有好人了。可我喜歡這樣說，——為什麽不和一個“無人”社會一起去旅遊一次呢，當然是到山裏去；不去山裏，又去哪裏呢？這些“無人”熙熙攘攘，細碎的步子將許多挽著的手臂和許多腳分開了，當然，大家都穿著禮服，我們走得還不錯，我們相互之間還留得有些空隙，風從這些空隙之中吹過，我們的嗓子要到山裏才能舒展，真怪，我們居然沒有唱歌。（陸增榮譯）
