同樣意義上的情動與不純粹的人道主義———過於人性和大於人性的考量交匯的地方———指引著斯蒂芬·布朗( Steven BRown) 和伊安·塔克( Ian TuckeR) 去研究精神病醫患關係的管理與常規下的心理行為醫療。通過情動理論，他們找到了一種不必倒退回人道主義，也能表達患者經驗和保健系統複雜性的方式。布朗和塔克認為，情動給予他們「一種連續不斷的格式塔轉換，前景與後景、經驗與裝置在其中對調……關注情動可以讓我們提出，人和生物及其他事物的差異是量的，它們在數量和經驗的複雜程度上有所區別，這些經驗通過人體可以承載的特殊聯系和方式緊張地相互交叉」。他們所使用的概念「持續的格式塔轉換」在描述身體的動情學和情動世界(它們相互構成一種韻律、輪廓、形狀和配速)的教育學之交叉時，是一種很好的措辭。…
