朱光潜《中國藝術表現里的虛和實》（下）
演員結合劇情的發展，靈活地運用表演程式和手法，使得“真境逼而神境生”。演員集中精神用程式手法、舞蹈行動，“逼真地”表達出人物的內心情感和行動，就會使人忘掉對於劇中環境佈景的要求，不需要環境佈景阻礙表演的集中和靈活，“實景清而空景現”，留出空虛來讓人物充分地表現劇情，劇中人和觀眾精神交流，深入藝術創作的最深意趣，這就是“真境逼而神境生”。這個“真境逼”是在現實主義的意義里的，不是自然主義里所謂逼真。這是藝術所啟示的真，也就是“無可繪”的精神的體現，也就是美。“真”、“神”、“美”在這里是一體。…
