“春曉，給你個任務，把這個財神擺平了。”老總頭也不擡地邊簽字邊吩咐。“不行！我這個月要出貨，得下工廠盯著，出了問題，虧損算您的算我的？”我抗議。老總停了筆，認真端詳著我的抗議。“你還真的出趟馬，這個人看著就不是凡角，我怕王小勤之類的人出馬要適得其反。”“您別打一個捧一個了，用著我的時候，小勤就是渣滓，用到小勤的時候，我在您口中怕也是堆垃圾了。”我不滿地抗議，“好歹我也算書香門第，你老把我當勾闌院的使。”“我認真給你分派任務，你別老貧了，我去給蔣科長打電話，你那攤交給他。晚上在大富豪春江花月夜見。”
王小勤是公司辦公室主任，人稱末代妖姬。那婦人的風韻發揮到淋漓盡致，未曾開口眼神就先到了，笑起來眼睛瞇成個月牙兒，再加上她大方的做派，通常沒什麽人拿不下的。這次來的是何方神聖？…

馮唐·擠得燦爛的香港
我所在咨詢公司的大佬，不到五十，須發皆白，說，在香港做了二十多年咨詢，每周平均幹七十個小時，需要休息半年，檢點歲月，等等自己的魂魄追趕上自己的身體，看看自己會不會被回憶噎著。我問去哪裏休息，他說去澳洲，那裏和香港完全不同，天高地迥，了無人煙。我說，好啊，離開香港前，一起吃個飯吧。…

從小到大，想不明白的事兒挺多，在不同的時候，為不同的事情，動心忍性。
重要的舉例：比如為什麽收音機打開後能聽到幾十公裏以外的聲音？在少年宮，我買了一本《如何組裝晶體管收音機》和一袋子預先配好的電子元件，像把蘿蔔白菜蔥姜蒜統統倒進鐵鍋一樣，我按照說明將電子元件全整進翠綠的塑料外殼。然後裝上兩節二號電池，擰開，塑料盒子裏居然響了。我還是不知道為什麽，我只是在過程中燙傷了左手，學會了電焊。…
