馬奎斯《霍亂時期的愛情》（37）
已經年滿十七周歲的她，鄭重地接過了這一權力，她知道，爭取到每一分自由都是為了愛。一夜無眠。第二天，她打開陽合的窗戶，看見小廣場上依然淫雨紛霏，看見那位被斬首的英雄的塑像，看見那個阿里薩素常捧著詩集坐在上面的大理石長凳的時候，心中泛起了回家以來的第一次煩惱之情。她已不再像想念一個猶如鏡花水月的情人，而是像想念一個她的一切都屬於他的地地道道的丈夫一樣想念著阿里薩了。她覺得，自從離家以來，這被虛耗的良辰美景是多麼令人惋惜，人生是多麼的艱難，她該帶著多麼深沈的愛去按上帝的旨意愛她的心上人啊。他沒有像過去那樣冒雨來到小廣場，使她頗覺意外，也沒接到過他用任何方式發出的任何表示，甚至連預兆都沒有。她突然想，莫非他死了嗎？思念及此，她不由得一陣顫栗。不過，她隨即又排除了這種不祥的想法，因為眼看就要回來，他們在最近幾天的狂熱的電報里忘了商定一種她回來後繼續聯系的方式。
