葉靈鳳《太陽夜記》·閩粵荔枝之爭
古今詩人詠荔枝的詩，無慮千千萬萬，但我覺得寫得最風趣的，終要算蘇東坡《食荔枝》的那首七絕。美中不足的是他的立場是外江佬而不是本地人而已。詩云：
羅浮山下四時春，盧橘楊梅次第新；
日啖荔枝三百顆，不辭長作嶺南人。
荔枝是廣東的特產，當然以本地出產的最有名。可是從前福建人對於荔品的高低，一向有點爭執，認為福建的荔枝比廣東好。著名的蔡君謨的《荔枝譜》，便說天下的荔枝，以閩中為第一，蜀州次之，嶺南為下。…
