陳勝慶《中國名山》西岳華山天下險
西岳華山以“險”著稱，自古即有“華山天下險”之說。從隴海線坐火車過孟塬車站時，即可見華山巍然雄峙，它的四周絕壁如削，舉目仰望，山頂諸峰如同花狀，高聳入云，令人敬畏。古代“花”、“華”兩字相通，故華山是以其形而命名，又名太華山。
由於華山太險，所以在唐代以前很少有人登臨。杜甫在《封西岳賦》中寫道：“太華最難上，故封禪之事，郁沒罕聞。”歷代君王祭西岳，都是在山下西岳廟中舉行大典。唐代道教興盛，道徒開始居山建觀，逐漸在北坡沿溪谷而上開鑿了一條險道，形成了“自古華山一條路”。1949年5年，七名解放軍勇士在一位樵夫帶領下，冒險從東坡絕壁攀援而上，消滅了國民黨殘余部隊600余人，留下了一曲“智取華山”的英雄之歌。…
