雁南飛：現代小說略論
◎定義：
小說是文學體裁之一種，也是由散文所衍生的文體。廣義的小說，可涵括古代的神話傳說、寓言故事在內。
它具有完整布局、生動情節及鮮明主題等特性；是描繪社會人物故事、古今神話寓言，且塑造豐富多元化人物形象的文學作品。
◎現代小說、現代散文與現代詩之區別：
以現代文學言，現代小說、現代散文與現代詩〈新詩〉之簡單區分如次：
「小說」以虛構人物、情節及場景為主，可以天馬行空遨遊太虛；如一身勁裝載歌載舞的遠古飛天仙子。〔虛幻手法多於真實敘述的故事〕…
