警察詩歌如果可以成立的話，它涉及到的第一個問題便是詩歌與職業的關係。事實上，任何人都可以成為詩人，農民工人醫生司機教師廚師，如此等等。換句話說，如果有警察詩歌，就可以有農民詩歌，工人詩歌，醫生詩歌，司機詩歌，教師詩歌，廚師詩歌，如此等等。當然，身為警察的詩人寫出的未必都是警察詩歌，有的詩人可能還會刻意回避或盡力超越自身的職業屬性。如果僅從取材而論，只有那些以從警經歷為題材的作品才能成為警察詩歌，至少這是警察詩歌的主體。 …

弗雷格自視爲數學家和邏輯學家，他對哲學的興趣可説是由數學和邏輯的興趣引導的。羅素與弗雷格不同，他對哲學問題有廣泛的興趣，並在各個方面發表自己的看法，但他的哲學興趣沒有維特根斯坦那種深度。維特根斯坦有他自己的哲學關懷，這種特有的關懷使他把弗雷格和羅素提出的問題引向新的方向和新的深度。正如維特根斯坦的老朋友Paul Engelmann所説：
對他〔維特根斯坦〕來説要緊的是哲學而不是邏輯，邏輯只不過碰巧是他精確描述其世界圖畫的唯一合適的工具。”…
