也斯《路上的人們》寒夜的老人
風颳面吹來，冷得人直哆嗦。大半條街都黑沉沉的，只有當中兩爿小舖露著燈光。外面的地方就盡是黑暗、空虛、以及不息的颳面的風吹。
有燈光的地方，其中一間是小飯店。粉紅色的紙張上寫著「煲仔小菜」、「煲仔飯」，在裏面，爐火閃著閃著，騰騰上升的熱氣，叫人覺得溫暖。即使是這麼簡陋骯髒的地方，有人，有熱騰騰的食物，也就有舒適的感覺了。
伙記忙碌地走來走去，像煲上匆忙地升起的白煙。辛勞工作一日的工人，正自斟著小瓶子中的一點洒，慢慢地呷一口。帶著一兩個小孩的小家庭，孩子們都穿得臃臃腫腫，孩子的鼻子紅紅的，有幾個，鼻子上脣之間帶著一汪鼻水，不時用手去擦一擦。在那邊的座位上，分別坐著幾個瘦削寂寞的中年男子，茫茫地看著前邊。這些不同的人，走過這條黑暗的路，在寒冷中走進有燈光的地方，吃一點熱的食物。…
