換而言之，史詩之所以凌駕於歷史之上，並非因為史詩對歷史事件加以真實再現，而是因為它能夠對顯現普遍理念的人物和故事加以藝術再現，對操縱現實世界的各種法則進行真切的再現。史詩中的英雄是符合理念本質的具體形象，具有泛化式的普遍性，他們的言行符合特定民族對於某種人物類型的理想美德的想像，而且由於遵循可然或必然的法則而表現出一致性和普遍性。…
