聽完松宮的報告，石垣抖著腳點點頭。“日本橋七褔神巡訪參拜呀，你們又挖出有意思的情報了。”
“我們是在尋找八島的目擊者時，偶然查到這件事。”
“嗯，雖然不知是不是真的偶然查到──”石垣的視線移向加賀，又回到松宮身上。“無所謂，這下就能厘清被害人去日本橋的原因。假使他和八島有約，出現在日本橋的咖啡店便說得通。”接著，他又補句“幹得好”。
“下一步要調查的，就是青柳先生巡訪參拜七褔神的理由……”…

燈光比想像中要強許多。平時窗外透進來的日光或室內照明照不到的暗處，也全暴露在這強光下，原本沒留意到的髒汙頓時映入眼簾。香織心想，早知道就掃乾淨點，但已太遲。雖然對方答應後制時替臉部打上馬賽克，她卻說不出“別拍室內”。就方才聽到的工作人員對話，拍攝屋況也是他們此行的重要目的之一。
“所以，妳不曉得他在工廠發生意外嗎？”女采訪員發問。她一頭長髮束在腦後，從面貌看來，個性相當強悍。
“是的，他只告訴我，回家途中不慎滾下階梯受傷。”香織老實回答。
“當時他的傷勢如何？”…
