瑪麗·貝瑟爾詩選: 十月的早晨

「清澈，清澈，清澈！」暴雨後的早晨

鳥兒唱道；雨水沖洗過的天空一片清澈，

廣闊無圾、蔚藍平靜的大海一片清澈；

怎麼，又是一片潔白？漫長的群山一片潔白，

天空的純藍的強度顯得清澈。

 

狂風呼嘯了一夜，可現在一片清澈，在陽光

和芳土味濃烈的空氣中，出現美好的新的一天。

伸向遠方的碧綠的耕地一片清澈，

星羅密布般的山麓小丘、穿越雪地的航道、

一片片樹林的景象，全變得近在咫尺；

城市，一片清澈——但是，對於剛出學的翻譯，

怎能譯出這種特性與美色，對於剛入門的占卜者，

怎能說出這種神聖清澈的精粹，
