卡夫卡·臨街的窗
有的人生活寂寞，到處找閑人聊天。他們留心白天的長短，氣候的變化，關註職業和諸如此類情況的發展，他們見到隨便什麽人，都毫不猶豫地拉著他們的胳膊聊起來。
他們多半在臨街的窗前進行這些活動；沒這臨街的窗，他們呆不了多久。他們似乎一無所求，只是疲倦地將眼睛在天上人間上下轉悠，朝他們的窗墻走去。他們不願意，而且事實上也很少往後看，下面的馬車和馬車的喧鬧來了，才終於將他們拉入人類的和諧之中。
