我聽說錢快花光了，就不再問還會出現什麼情況，我聳了聳肩膀，不吭聲，她好像明白我的意思。
我們收拾好行裝，坐進馬車，把小箱子放在對面。我還是看不出它是座宮殿。我們的車經過了好幾個站，路上順當地從口袋里掏出錢付車費和小費，並有剩余。我們進山後才下車，我的美人兒走在前面，我遵照她的吩咐，提著小箱子緊隨於後。她把我引上一條通往有草坪的狹谷，走上陡峭的羊腸小道，只見清泉噴湧而出，時而飛流直下，時而蜿蜒曲折，靜靜流淌。她指給我看一塊地勢高的平地，讓我把小箱子放下，說：“再見吧！回去的路，你是容易找到的；別忘記我，我希望能與你再見。”…
