鳳凰之旅在出門那一刻電閃雷鳴，暴雨如注。幾步路，褲腳濕了一大片。
我不是一個有迷信行為的人，但有迷信感。只因要去的鳳凰古城，充滿了神秘意味，而讓我感覺，眼前這一場臨出門澆下來的大雨，也有一種神秘的意味。
鳳凰之旅的出發地是廣州，和妹妹同去。這是我們去年某天無意間的一次相約，沒想到眼看前去無門時卻在不經意間出發了。這讓我想到，很多口頭約定或者一閃而過的想法，不要太去顧及那份子虛烏有，應該放在心上，等待那個時刻到來。…

陳艷萍：·潮州遠 5
開元鎮國禪寺，廟宇恢弘氣派，古樹蒼勁盎然。當地人說：這是一座由李嘉誠先生參與捐資修建的廟宇。來了潮州，不進開元寺，那就等於沒來一般。
笑了，潮州所有的地方，都有不看白來一說。不過，並不是沒有道理。我一路從牌坊街進入廣濟橋，到韓文公祠，再來開元寺，心里總湧動著一種感動。這幾座建築，很氣派，但又不像有錢人家的房屋，裝修得富麗堂皇，讓人走不近般地有一種浮誇的隔膜。
它們都是踏踏實實的，穩固的，感覺到建築里面有很多心意，很多情感，是用來流芳百世福澤後人的。它們既是潮州財力物力的彰顯，也是歷史感人文感相得益彰的融合，確實不可不看。…
