周國平《偶爾遠行》偶然性的價值
我飛越了大半個地球，降落在這個島上。在地球那一方的一個城市里，有一個我的家，有我的女人和孩子，這個家對於我至關重要，無論我走得多遠都要回到這個家去。我知道，在地球的廣大區域里，還有許多國家、城市和村莊，無數男人、女人和孩子在其中生活著。如果我降生在另一個國度和地方，我就會有一個完全不同的家，對我有至關重要意義的就會是那一個家，而不是我現在的家。既然家是這麼偶然的一種東西，對家的依戀到底有什麼道理？
我愛我的妻子，可是我知道，世上並無命定的姻緣，任何一個男人與任何一個女人的結合都是偶然的。如果機遇改變，我就會與另一個女人結合，我的妻子就會與另一個男人結合，我們各人都會有完全不同的人生故事。既然婚姻是這麼偶然的一種東西，那麼，受婚姻的束縛到底有什麼道理？…
