3．總結和討論
分析“哪咤鬧海”的目的，是為了探尋中國人俄狄浦斯情結和心理發展的特點。有必要從紛亂的材料中跳出來，總結一下提出的假設，並和類似研究作比較：
第一個假設是中國人的幼年關係中母親的重要作用。這影響到中國人各期的發展都延長。這一點有些學者也有類似的看法，曾文星總結提出，[24]中國人的心理發展過程有這些特點：“口欲期”延長，“性蕾期”繼續享受“小孩”階段，“潛伏期”社會要求的突然增加，“潛伏期”和“青春期”的階段都較長，緩慢進入“生殖期”。徐靜也指出：…

《淮南子·地形訓》：“正土之氣，禦乎埃天。埃天五百歲生缺，缺五百歲生黃埃，黃埃五百歲生黃澒，黃澒五百歲生黃金，黃金千歲生黃龍，黃龍入藏生黃泉。黃泉之埃，上為黃雲。陰陽相迫為雷，激揚為電。上者就下，流水就通，而合於黃海。“龍的變化性體現在本身是千變萬化的，並無固定模式，固定形態、固定形象。
許慎在《說文解字》中，對龍概括為“八能”；能幽能明，能細能巨，能短能長，能潛能飛。對龍的變易無窮的本質特征，講得最透底、最充分的首推晚年孔子《易傳》，特別是新發現的帛書易傳。在帛書易傳《二三子》的一開頭，孔夫子一連三次講了“龍大矣”，作為龍德的顯著特征，實質上是逐層深入地闡發了“龍變易無窮”的基本觀念。二是六位時成，待機而動。中國的“龍之易”有二重性：龍既是變易無窮的，又有變化有道的；龍的變化之道與時機、機遇是緊密聯系的。…
