張宏生·山川、旅途與詩思（2）
嚴辰為其妹嚴永華的集子作序時，談到其妹的成就，也這樣說：「大凡女子，閑置深閨，老死牖下，不知乾端坤倪是何景象。即終身把卷吟哦，只如候蟲之鳴，不知有穴外事。若吾妹生長滇黔，隨父兄宦轍所至，於滇之三地，黔之上下遊，跋涉幾遍。搜奇抉險，悉發於詩。……迨於歸後，隨軺四出，東則曾經滄海，北則親睹皇居，西則遠及炎荒，南則溯洄天塹。出處廿四年，往還數萬裏。到處雙旌攬勝，雙管留題，以巾幗而獲江山之助。」[9](P787)「巾幗而獲江山之助」和包蘭瑛所說的「山川雄壯助詩情」[10](P1505)是一個道理，這就把劉勰的話，賦予了符合後世情境的轉換，是從一個特定層面對女性詩歌創作的思考，也是把女性的詩歌創作活動與士大夫的傳統聯系到了一起。

張宏生·山川、旅途與詩思（1）
內容提要：清代女性生活空間不斷擴大，其詩歌創作增添了新的內容，尤以行旅詩最為突出。女性行旅多是隨宦，旅途的艱難，奇僻的感受，流亡的傷懷，使清代女性行旅詩打上了時代的印痕。清代女詩人還借助題畫、遊仙和夢境等神遊的方式去釋放精神，這也成為行旅詩的重要補充。
