在我一個自傳里，我曾經提到過水給我的種種印象。檐溜，小小的河流，汪洋萬頃的大海，莫不對於我有過極大的幫助，我學會用小小腦子去思索一切，全虧得是水，我對於宇宙認識得深一點，也虧得是水。
“孤獨一點，在你缺少一切的時節，你就會發現原來還有個你自己。”這是一句真話。我有我自己的生活與思想，可以說是皆從孤獨得來的。我的教育，也是從孤獨中得來的。然而這點孤獨，與水不能分開。…
