（五）詩的創作—「信而好古」及「放鄭聲」：
孔子畢生維護周禮不遺餘力，提倡禮治的復古，反對制度的變革，由此可知其對文藝的態度，亦抱持「信而好古」的原則，反對文學藝術的創新。孔子在〈述而〉標榜自己是「述而不作，信而好古」，又說：「我非生而知之者，好古，敏以求之也。」這些孔子自述的記載，在在都顯示出孔子對古代的學術文化乃至文藝是十分敬重，對於整理和保存文化遺產方面有極大貢獻。然而孔子對復古的狂熱，直接影響表現在對創新的厭惡，其「是往古而誹今」的觀點，可謂為文論批評觀點上「貴古賤今」一說之先河。…
