郭道成·中國人民教育家陶行知的美育觀
陶行知未來得及系統地研究美學理論，但在他的教育實踐中，一直提倡用“美”來育人，即是美育。這是陶行知教育思想先進之處，也是陶行知教育思想博大精深之處。
陶行知的美育思想特點之一是認為美育既是手段更是目的。當今在教育改革中，人們都在呼喚美育，提倡“以美育人”，就是通過美育促進德、智、體的全面發展。但這僅僅把美育當作手段或工具而已，而陶行知的美育思想還提倡“以美立人”，要“創造真、善、美的活人”(引自《陶行知教育文選》298頁)，這說明美育既是手段也是最終目的，德智體美勞的和諧發展，就是創造真善美人格的具體要求。

崔光宙·實用主義的美學
名詞解釋: 實用主義的美學是以全面性的生活經驗解釋美感與藝術的美學思想，使主體與客體、人與自然相連續，構成不可分割的整體經驗。
