利奧塔 vs. 阿多諾丨聲音的解放 下
聲音的節奏並不是內在於身體“自然的” 或者“文化的” 節奏能力。身體通過運動對“它的” 空間的掌控（或者相反）處於不協調的狀態中。節奏僅僅被引向靜止的傾聽，那麼我們可以説這種傾聽是內在的。如同日珥在色球層上的出現或者消失，或者如果你們更願意説，如同杜尚的終止計量器（stoppage-étalon），這個沒有測量的節奏需要等待：會發生什麼呢？
這里舉一個例子，即我們是如何理解相較於節拍器的限制而言的聲音節拍之“解放” 的。我們擴大了節奏音區。埃德加·瓦雷茲[4]算是“聲音解放” 運動的創立者和第一活躍分子，尤其是他對新興技術的運用。他解釋説：
