琦君〈母親的手藝 〉玉蘭酥
玉蘭酥是一種到嘴便化的酥餅，聽聽名稱都是香的。它是早年我家獨一無二的點心。是母親別出心裁，利用白玉蘭花瓣，和了麵粉雞蛋，做出來的酥餅。
白玉蘭並不是白蘭花。白蘭花是六七月盛夏時開的，花朵長長的，花苞像個橄欖核，只稍稍裂開一點尖端，就得採下來，一朵朵排在盛淺水的盤子裡，上面蓋一塊濕紗布，等兩三小時，香氣散佈出來，花瓣也微微張開了，然後用絲線或細鐵絲穿起來。兩朵一對，或四朵一排，掛在胸前，或插在鬢髮邊，是婦女們夏天的妝飾。但只一天工夫，花瓣就黃了，香氣也轉變成一種怪味。
