在建構了情動政治學的基本框架後，我們需要仔細探討這一理論的可能性與限制。首先，從哲學史的角度來看，馬蘇米的情動理論與史賓諾莎的實體論有著有趣的呼應。在史賓諾莎的觀點中，上帝並非一個超然於世界之外的實體，而是分散於萬物之間的實質，萬物的總和即是上帝。
而馬蘇米更進一步，主張主體間的情動互動是開放且無上限的。如果以《聖經》的比喻來說，這種情動的互動如同受造物之間建構了一座通天的巴別塔。對此，馬蘇米持正面的肯定態度。 …
