紀伯倫《流浪者》三件禮物
從前，在貝沙累城里住著一個寬宏大量的王子，城里所有的子民們都熱愛和尊敬王子。
不過，有個十分貧窮的人，他對王子懷恨在心，不斷地用他的貧嘴惡舌攻擊王子。
王子知道這事，然而他耐心容忍。
但王子終於想到了這個窮人；一個冬天的寒夜里，王子的仆人來到這窮人的門前，帶來一袋面粉，一小袋肥皂和一大塊糖。
仆人說："王子送給你這些禮物，作個紀念。"…

紀伯倫《流浪者》雕像
從前，有個人住在叢山之間，他家有個雕像，是一位古代的大師制作的。雕像臉孔朝下倒在他家的大門口，他根本沒有在意。
有個博學的人，從城里出來，經過他的家，看到了這個雕像，他就問這雕像的主人，是否願意出售。
主人哈哈大笑，說道："請問誰要買這塊笨重骯髒的石頭？"城里人說道："我願意出一塊銀元買它。"
山里人大為吃驚，喜出望外。…
