於是，這一物之物性的解釋，如同前一個解釋一樣，也是正確的和可證實的。這就足以令人懷疑它的真實性了。如果我們再考慮到我們所尋求的物之物因素，那麽這一物的概念就又使我們無所適從了。我們從未首先並且根本地在物的顯現中感覺到一種感覺的湧逼，例如樂音和噪音的湧逼——正如這種物之概念所預先確定的；不如說，我們聽到狂風在煙囪上呼嘯，我們聽到三馬達的飛機；我們聽到與鷹牌汽車迎然不同的奔馳汽車。物本身要比所有感覺更切近於我們。我們在屋子里聽到敲門，但我們從未聽到聽覺的感覺，或者哪怕是純然的嘈雜聲。為了聽到一種純然的嘈雜聲，我們必須遠離物來聽，使我們的耳朵離開物，也即抽象地聽。…
