“的確，你脖頸上有黑痣！”
我擡起頭來，發現自己在滿是茉莉花和蝴蝶蘭的房間，說話人就是印尼赫赫有名的時裝店主豆子女士，奇怪，她怎麽像個巫師，盤膝坐在我對面？窗子開著，兩個娟秀的姑娘在大芭蕉樹下點染花布，手里握著燒得熱熱的顏料鐵壺。
仿佛我感覺著那鐵壺的燙，吞了吞口水，說：“在娘胎里就有。”
“你的幾絲魂魄，此刻飄浮在千島之國。”
她坐在一層疊一層的巴迪克上，身上是一件黑花暗紋的衣裳，包裹著豐盈的腰肢，僅露出腳趾。那臉很模糊，頭髮太長，也許是因為眼睛太亮，刺得我無法看清。…

虹影《53種離別》兩分鐘就好
這天是感恩節，我一直讀經書到淩晨，心里想念一個人，他曾是上帝派來引我走過地獄之途的，他對我說：“你想想，野地里的百合花，是怎麼長起來的？”
我一直以為你是聽得見我的聲音的，你並沒有離開。
每年年末之時，我把房間里的所有燈全熄滅，不點蠟燭，黑得像躺在厚繭里，讓我感覺全身放鬆。就兩分鐘，兩分鐘就好。不必說什麼說，該說的已經說的，不該說的說之無益。…
