普里什文《大自然的日曆》蒼頭燕雀飛來了
從蒼頭燕雀到杜鵑飛來之間，是我們的春天氣象萬千、美不勝收的一段時光，景象既是那樣細膩，又是那樣復雜，猶如尚未披上春裝的白樺樹枝，奇形怪狀糾結在一起。在這段時光里，白雪消融，春水東流，大地返綠，盛開出第一批令人銷魂的繁花；楊樹上水靈靈的幼芽綻裂，香馥馥、黏糊糊、綠茸茸的細葉子張開來，接著，杜鵑就飛來了。到這時候，有了這一片美景，大家才說：“春天來了！多美啊！”
可是在我們獵人看來，杜鵑一來，春天便算完結了。既然百鳥都孵起蛋來，到了它們最忙碌的時期，還算什麼春天啊！…

普里什文《大自然的日曆》匆匆的愛
我那隻作引誘用的母鴨的母親，只是俄羅斯的家鴨，但是它同野公鴨交尾了幾回，生出小鴨來，卻是一模一樣的野鴨。我從中挑了一隻叫得最響亮的，用它把野公鴨引誘到窩棚附近來。交尾期的公鴨羽毛十分艷麗，它們被這隻母鴨嘎嘎亂叫的危險聲音所誘惑，紛紛而來……獵人的心腸本來如同鐵石，不過也有一次，一隻公鴨相中了我的母鴨，我竟沒有開槍。
那是在落霞滿天的時分。我來到森林湖邊窪地上，把籃子里愛叫喚的母鴨拿出來，在它腿上拴了一根長長的細繩子，繩子末端帶一塊重東西，我把這東西一拋，就把母鴨放到水面上去，自己到窩棚里坐著，從縫隙里注視著窪地。 …
