大地啊，你多麽完美，多麽壯麗！…

紀伯倫《珍趣篇》更遼闊的海洋
昨天——昨天是多麽遠，又是多麽近啊！——我和我的心一同來到大海，為的是用海水滌除附在我們身上的灰塵和泥垢。
我們到達海岸，便開始尋找一處不讓別人看到的清靜之地。
我們邊走邊看，忽然發現一個男子，坐在一塊灰褐色的巖石上，手上有只袋子，他正從袋中一把一把地抓出鹽來撒向大海。
我的心對我說："這是一個只看到生活陰影的悲觀主義者，悲觀主義者是不適於看到我們赤裸的身體的。讓我們離開這個地方吧，因為這裏沒法洗浴。"…
