普里什文《大自然的日曆》榛林花開（下）
這是一班什麼人呢？是些小職員、技術人員，在小城里被視為半野蠻人，然而他們是天生的尋蹤覓跡、研究方誌、探索物候學的專家，真正的——不是小市民般多愁善感的，不是書本上的，不是盧梭和托爾斯泰筆下的——對大自然的感情，幾乎只保留在他們心中。我們就該從這樣的人當中，為自己尋找研究方誌的合作者。我把這一番意思對他們說了，我們就訂立了協議，來做物候學的觀察，並且談妥在小艇附近，決不打殺營巢的鳥兒，可能的話連兔子也不打。
談到兔子時，我說小艇那兒有一隻兔子從地窖里跑出來。
“是灰兔嗎？”約什卡問道。聽說是灰兔以後，又說：“兔子經常待在小艇那兒，冬天里肯定有幾只待在佩列斯拉夫利。您知道K家的房子嗎？不知道？A. M.…

普里什文《大自然的日曆》榛林花開（上）
森林里亮暗相間，五色斑斕，溝壑里水聲潺潺，水邊榛林沐浴著陽光，吐出了金黃的花穗。獵狗亞里克聽到什麼動靜，第一次伺伏下來。我以為是公黑琴雞求偶鳴叫，卻原來是幾乎就在亞里克的腳邊有一泓清泉，像黑琴雞似的低吟。真正的公黑琴雞的聲音要離得遠一些。我們把那情種轟了起來，隨著起飛的還有四隻雌黑琴雞。屋旁的那棵樹一直在呼號，白天在房子里關著窗戶都能聽見，夜里也聽得見。我愛那棵樹，它和我情同骨肉，只不過我不喜歡將此點道破。春天里，我的心中也總有什麼東西在呼號…… …
