有點奇怪。最近很多人提及《我的加雅街杜順公主》；再欣賞北婆羅洲民族文化攝影家劉富威的2013年沙巴豐收節系列嘉照，我忽然想起這部快20年的卡通片來，經典動畫長片《風中奇緣》（Pocahontas）。

其主題曲《風之彩》（Colors of the Wind）獲得1996年奧斯卡獎、金球獎及葛拉美獎的最佳電影歌曲獎。

《風中奇緣》描寫哥倫布發現新大陸後，在新大陸的一個印地安­部落公主寶嘉康蒂（Pocahontas，1595年—1617年）的傳奇故事。

寶嘉­康蒂愛上了不該愛的入侵者英國上尉莊邁斯（John Smith）。莊邁斯也愛上不該愛的她──他的同袍所稱的“野蠻人”。她與莊邁斯的真­情難以對抗世俗。但最後她以無比的勇氣，營救即將被自己父親（酋長）砍頭的莊邁斯，並­且化解了一場異族間的戰爭。

本片強調人與自然界的融合以及族群間的尊重，結局也一改迪士尼過去快樂團圓的傳統，寶­嘉康蒂選擇了留在家鄉帶領族人，莊邁斯則受傷返回英國，留下了一個令人難以釋懷的缺憾­。本曲把“自然與野蠻”、“文明與傲慢”、“心靈與物質”間的真諦透過意遠的詞境而賦­予極深的省思；雖是早期的歌曲，卻值得一再欣賞。
