《孫犁散文集》《猴戲——童年紀事》跋
卻有深刻的記憶，在我的心中。在農村，觀猴戲，當時不過六、七歲。今我年近七十，種種景象，仍宛然如在目前。
特別是猴子的那種驚恐眼神，賣藝人手中皮鞭的抖動，思之令人身冷。吳承恩創造了一個美猴王，以後有許多演員，以人去演猴，皆能成為藝術。然以猴演人，鐵鏈、皮鞭訓練出來的表演，並非藝術，乃生財糊口之道耳。猴子並未進入角色，所思當在山林同夥之間，騰攀擲跳耶？（1980年12月29日）當晚又記）
