其他的時間我們就看看書、聽聽音樂、編織一些東西。雖然沒有電視和收音機，但卻有設備齊全的圖書室和一間唱片圖書館，收藏著馬拉（譯注：音樂家）的交響樂全集，以及披頭四的樂曲，我常常在那裡借唱片回房去聽。
這裡的設備唯一的問題就是，一旦進來這裡，如果再出去外面，簡直就是萬劫不復，外面實在太可怕了。我們在這裡才能擁有平靜安寧的心情。也才能以自然的態度面對自己的扭曲，覺得自己有希望痊愈。但外面的世界是不是也能同樣地接受我們呢？我實在沒有把握。…
