填滿了他的監獄
填滿到房間不能容納的地步
它們一直延伸到墻頂。
那些是要將他從死亡贖回來的。
但贖金還是不夠。
他的逮捕者全部受了這金子，

佛洛斯特·樺樹
當我看見樺樹左右彎曲
穿過更為筆直且黑暗的樹木行列，
我愛想著是一個男孩在那裏搖蕩。
雖然搖蕩不會使它們彎曲，像冰暴
所做的那樣。你會經常看到它
在雨後晴朗的冬天早晨負載

趕時髦的磨坊時鐘改變了它
鳴鐘的速度如同一道道催命符，
雖然那遲到的在拼命奔跑，
他靠近了那禁閉的大門但還是沒趕上。
有條神或人的法律
對那些遲到了的人
他會被鎖在外面達半小時，
他要扣除工作時間，工資也要扣。
要被老板斥責還要被辭掉。…
