洪祖秋: 地方誌與史實的留存
最近华社很多团体都纷纷在收集并出版地方志，甚至有些个人也开始编辑与出版地方上的地方志。
这是一椿好事，因为我们处在一个多元化的国家里，政府的主流主要是采用马来文，因此无可避免地偏向马来社会，华族社会的史实或地方志，要能够被收集纳入国家历史当中就不容易，且往往会被忽略掉。
要将华社的史实与地方志留存下来给后代，恐怕要靠华社自己的努力。
目前华社的历史，绝大部分是由会馆乡团组织，以及学校以会史或校史的方式来保存，刊登于适逢庆典或纪念日出版的特刊内，而其内容的取舍胥赖捉笔人。…
