我不知道為什麼，對一個人深入的回憶，非要到他逝去之後。難道回憶是被痛苦帶來的嗎?
1977年春天我認識了韋君宜。我真幸運，那時我剛剛把一只腳怯生生踏在文學之路上。我對自己毫無把握。我想，如果我沒有遇到韋君宜，我以後的文學可能完全是另一個樣子。我認識她幾乎是一種命運。
但是這之前的十年"文革"把我和她的歷史全然隔開。我第一次見到她時，並不清楚她是誰，這便使我相當尷尬。…

郭沫若《百花詩》短日照菊
秋天開的菊花在春天來開，
我們是受了短日照的安排。（註）
每日只讓我們照光十小時，
照著秋天的規律改移生態。
這奇跡就出現在中山公園，
請到唐花圃去就可以見面。
