Here is a great playing older Yamaha BB-5000 five string bass. It was made in Japan and the serial number is LZQI110 in case that helps date it. The bass appears to be all original and it's in nice shape for its age. The black finish does show some pick marks and swirls in the clear lacquer and some scattered small impressions and marks but
It feels a lot like a 5 string Jazz bass, and the width at the nut is about the same. The overall construction is excellent considering this bass costs $400.00 w/o case. It has two big humbuckers in the usual Jazz positions, and it has the same two volume, one tone control set up. The best part of this bass is its sound.
