The term temporomandibular disorder (TMD) includes disorders of the temporomandibular joints (TMJ), masticatory muscles and adjacent tissues. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of MT exclusively applied to the craniomandibular structures (craniomandibular filexlib. Manual therapy is often used with exercise to treat neck pain. This cervical overview group systematic review update assesses if manual therapy, including manipulation or mobilisation, combined with exercise improves pain, function/disability, quality of life, global perceived effect, and patient satisfaction for adults with neck pain with or without cervicogenic headache or radiculopathy.
Objective: To investigate the influences of feedback on manual therapy skill acquisition as presented in the literature. Data Source(s): An electronic search was conducted across 4 databases: PubMed, EBSCOhost, SPORTDiscus, and CINAHL. The key words that were used in the search included "manual therapy," "physiotherapy," "mobilizations," "manipulation," "education," "instruction," "feedback
Purpose: Background: Evaluate whether the design of placebo control groups could produce different interpretations of the efficacy of manual therapy techniques. Methods: Nine databases were searched (EMBASE, CINAHL, PsycINFO, MEDLINE, PubMed, SCOPUS, WEB of SCIENCE, COCHRANE, and PEDro). Randomized placebo-controlled clinical trials that used manual therapy as a sham treatment on subjects Systematic review of randomised clinical trials on cervical radiculopathy and manual therapy, in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, PEDro, and Cochrane Library Plus databases. This systematic review did not establish which manual therapy techniques are the most effective for cervical radiculopathy with electrophysiological confirmation of
The included studies used osteopathic [28] and chiropractic [46] treatment. Hasler et al. [28] assumed that manual treatment interventions on the viscera and locomotor system would stimulate self-regulation mechanisms, restoring form and function, and hypothesized that the dose (three sessions) was insufficient.
