王鈞國：舊甘邦新布蘭橋的童年回憶
相片中橋面參差不齊，橋身彎彎曲曲毫不起眼的海上木橋，它橫跨森布蘭河在主要公路南路的右側的沼澤地帶。舊森布蘭甘邦入口處，恰是和加拉門星天主教聖堂相隔一條馬路遙遙相對。然而在交通並不發達的年代，它是從亞庇步行前往整個甘邦森布蘭必經的捷徑。
水上人家是舊甘邦森布蘭的一大特色，馬來人所居住的房子，我們通常稱為高腳屋。村內呈現各種不同風格，這種獨特的建築形成，可以觀察到馬來民族初期的生活習慣，以及地理環境，他們是精於航海的民族，主要是依靠捕魚、蝦、螃蟹和售賣海產。因為生活環境的需要，他們也在靠海的土地上種植椰榭並以售賣椰子為生。…
