安娜回到教堂的時候，墳墓已經填上了，挖墳的人把花環在地基那安排得中規中矩。安娜在決定如何放置自己的花環之前，好好地打量了一下其他幾個。
她有點吃驚地發覺自己開始的判斷是錯誤的，這兒有幾個基因組合的花環。她很快地想到了，這只是一種虛榮的怪異消費的表現。阿倫那些親戚朋友中富裕的幾個肯定不會放過這個機會炫耀一番。
她安置好了花圈，退後一步，看著自己的作品。…
