普里什文《大自然的日曆》第一首水之歌
傍晚時，我們拿烏笛出去吹，看花尾榛雞會不會應和。春季里我們不打花尾榛雞，但常常逗它們取樂。它們聽見笛聲，在雪地冰層上跑來，不時停下傾聽一會兒，有時跑得如此之近，幾乎伸手便可抓到，真是有趣極了。
我們返回時，路比較難走了。天已晚，寒意重，冰層卻還經不住腳踩，腳一陷下去，就難以拔出來。橙黃色的晚霞顯得嚴峻而呆板，沼澤地上的水窪像玻璃窗似的被映得發紅。耳中聽得似有黑琴雞在嘟嘟囔囔，我們便一心要弄個明白：果真是黑琴雞在叫，還是我們錯覺。我們三人一齊費勁地爬上化了雪的大草墩，細聽起來。
我吸了一口煙斗，噴出去，只見微微有點兒北風。我們朝北邊聽，立時全明白了，那是離我們十分近的下面，春水在慢慢流淌，從小橋下擠過去，像黑琴雞似的唱著。
