◎紅色可以提高運動能力、增強競爭意識
據說紅色有提高運動能力和增強競爭意識的效果。英國達拉姆大學的研究人員對此進行了研究，統計出了拳擊、跆拳道和摔交等競技項目中穿紅色運動衣與藍色運動衣的運動員之間的勝負比率。統計結果顯示，穿紅色運動衣的運動員獲勝的幾率明顯高於穿藍色運動衣的運動員。如果雙方的實力相當，穿紅色運動衣的運動員更容易獲勝。紅色不僅可以提高運動能力、增強競爭意識，由於它是膨脹色，還可以給對手造成壓迫感，迫使其喪失鬥志。

◎喜歡紅色的人
紅色是非常受歡迎的一種顏色，而且在這點上沒有男女之分。性格外向的人大多喜歡紅色。熱情、正義感強烈。喜歡紅色的人活潑好動，行動力強，運動神經還很發達，不過行動前不願深入思考。喜歡紅色的人情緒起伏比較大（尤其在男女問題上），一旦發起火來，後果不堪設想。他們的行動總是先於思考，說話也是口無遮攔的。
此外，喜歡紅色的人大多鹵莽、熱情、而且極富正義感。他們還很健談，說起話來經常手舞足蹈的。喜歡紅色的人富有魅力，但也有任性的一面，有時還很無禮。再者，當人們渴望愛情時，也會傾向於喜歡紅色。…
